The True Colour Course is our way of helping students to put this quote into action. Through this course, we aim to support them in discovering and accepting who they really are, and then walking this out with confidence. We believe that everybody has a unique contribution to bring to the world and we want to empower your students to go out and make their difference!
True Colour is an 8-hour course, spread over two consecutive days. On day one we cover the consequences of comparing themselves with others, and how this can negatively impact their lives. We help them combat this through discovering their unique personality based on the acclaimed MBTI™ profiling tool, and exploring their individual strengths and intelligences. This empowers them understand they are unique and have a distinct and very important contribution to bring by being themselves - their True Colour!
Using the foundations day one provides, we then look at the impact family, peer pressure, media etc. have on their thinking and actions. We teach them to explore the impact these are having on them, and where needed how to alter them for a more positive outcome. This includes teaching them how to challenge negative thinking and master self praise.
Students who have embraced the course have developed a greater sense of self awareness, and confidence in being themselves. This has lead to a huge improvement in their emotional and mental wellbeing, and for some even a higher attendance at school.
